POST-OP CARE
I usually see patients the first working day after surgery and check carefully for any problems, discuss how the patient is feeling, and review any concerns. Many times small problems are addressed early and prevent larger problems developing later. Stitches are removed at subsequent visits, according to the particular surgery.

Post operative care is nearly as important as the actual surgery. We are insistent that adequate post op arrangements are made in advance to prevent the kind of unexpected problems that can arise such as sudden light headedness causing fainting, the fainting causing a fall, with injury to the surgery site or another area of the body, and a whole cascade of complications ensuing. For this reason, All patients need to spend at least the first few hours, preferably the first night, in the care of a responsible adult. Sometimes no one trusted such as a friend or family member is available. In such instances, we may keep you overnight or arrangements can be made for someone who offers such a service, an example is Shayla's Lift.

Dr. Gelfant and Broadway Cosmetic surgery centre have no direct relationship with Shayla's lift and no actual or implied guarantee of the services offered there exists.
